A Wet Start for Sports Camp

At 5:45 on Sunday, August 11, a wall of water hit Bergen, NY along with some distant thunder and lightning. For a brief 15 minutes, it looked like Bergen Christian Sports Camp might be rained out for the first day. But then both volunteers and participants started showing up. By 6:00 it looked like the rain was over and Joe decided to proceed. Some changes needed to be made. The basketball court was more like a Slip and Slide so we doubled up on Catalino games and the evening got under way. Over 30 young people participated in the sports activities along with what seemed liked almost as many volunteers.
