On Sunday evening, February 2, our church was thrilled to welcome the Roberts Wesleyan University Chorale under the direction of Dr. Adam Potter for the first concert in our 2025 concert series. The chorale spent all day Saturday on a retreat at our church, rehearsing, doing devotions, and engaging in several team-building activities. The program on Sunday night, a preview of the Chorale’s upcoming tour, was titled Renewing Minds, Transforming Hearts.
The chorale performed a wide variety of repertoire, from traditional spirituals and folk songs to the music of Brahms and 16th-century Italian music. We also heard the world premiere of a brand new piece by local composer Nicholas Nicassio based on Habakkuk 3:17-19. During a short intermission, we sang three hymns inspired by the repertoire the Chorale performed.

Thank you to Sandy Partridge and the Fellowship Team for hosting lunch for the chorale on Saturday as well as a reception following the concert. Thank you, also, to the Evangelism and Missions committee, the sponsor of our concert series, and to the Technology team.
Upcoming Concert:
Mark your calendar for our second concert on March 16, when local harpist Catherine Caton will perform for us. More information about the concert series can be found at epcbergen.org/concerts.
