We often see semi-trailer trucks on Route 19 but not very often in our parking lot. This one was there to drop off 3300 Operation Christmas Child (OCC) boxes that will be distributed to local churches. (We were actually supposed to get 4400, but one pallet was diverted to another drop-off. We will get the rest later.)
BEPC is the local OCC shoebox drop-off/collection location and the Central Drop-off location for the Genesee Valley Region. During the National Collection Week, November 18-25, all these boxes will return to the church filled and sorted, counted, packed into OCC cartons, and labeled. We expect to perhaps fill three semi-trailer trucks with the boxes to be sent to the processing center.
